Promises

I was traveling back from the Chicago area on Easter Sunday and was hit with a pretty violent storm. It was hard to see ahead of me, I had to slow down, and I wondered how long this was going to last. Finally after about 30 minutes of extreme downpour it cleared up and I noticed a guy in the right-hand lane looking out his window. I wondered what he could be noticing and I turned my head in the same direction. There in the sky was a rainbow, actually a double-rainbow. Pretty cool I thought after all this rain. A rainbow on Easter Sunday. God sent a rainbow many years ago as a sign, a promise that He loves us and cares deeply about us. Less years ago, God sent Jesus as a sign, a promise, a savior, a redeemer. Jesus showed us God cares for us deeply enough to send His own Son to die on our behalf (not because we deserve it). Enjoy God's grace and know that He and many others care deeply about you and God never breaks His promises!
